GAL Rates & Billing

Guardian ad Litem services involve a comprehensive assessment and a significant time commitment. I strive to provide transparent and fair rates for the services required to ensure each child’s best interests are properly represented.

Rates

Initial Consultation: $175
During this session, I meet with parents or guardians to explain the GAL process, answer questions, and discuss the Appointment Order.
Hourly Rate: $175/hour
This rate applies to all activities within the GAL scope, including interviews, home visits, document review, report preparation, and court appearances.
Retainer Fee
A retainer is required at the start of the GAL process and covers the initial stages of the investigation. Any additional work beyond the retainer is billed at the standard hourly rate.

Billing & Payment

I provide detailed invoices reflecting time spent on each task and work transparently to ensure that all billing aligns with our initial agreement. Payment plans are available upon request, as I aim to make this critical service accessible to all families who need it.
